This is the one that is totally useless and also costs everyone of us and our children way too much money, right?

I could think of many, many, many, many, many, many better ways to use that money, and I'm not thinking selfishly.

This is obviously the best way to spend the money. We need this kind of technology to get better, so we can have that one extra second of hope that we can defend ourselves from aliens right before they bombard our planet with a human only killing gas bomb.
