I love how you never hear what he tells her... thus leaving it open ended.

I loved this movie, but I think they could have cut about twenty minutes worth of it out, shortening scenes, and it would have been even better.

Thought this movie was overrated (Japanese are short and prounounce "L's" like "R's"...ROFLAWL!).

Ending was nice though and Scarlett is a hottie.

This movie was thoughtful, insightful and just plain brilliant. It captures so much what an extended visitor's perspective is. There was a scene or two when she was just hanging out and musing over the scenery. There's nothing like the feeling of walking around experiencing a different culture from your own for the first time.

Really good movie overall.

I like it when he calls his wife and says he wants to change his diet, doesn't want to eat big bowls of pasta anymore. Japan can change your eating habits. When we arrived back in LA after living in Japan, we were shocked at how big the portions were in restaurants. We couldn't finish our food.
