So I've missed the last few seasons of the TV show (sigh), so a question: is that nice 3D effect they are using normal now? Or is that new for the movie?

It's really nice in any case... much better than the occasional 3D effects they were using in the past. It looked like it had... shading and such.

I think it's just for the movie codenazi, and I think it's just that the Korean animators (I'm assuming they are still using those guys) spent more time with the shading.

As Napoleon would tell you, doing an awesome drawing is all in the shading.
