This has always been my favorite Kids in the Hall skit. The only thing is, I've never been able to figure out why it is funny. Ideas?

That's a great sketch. I hadn't seen it before now. I have always loved the show.

Why is it funny? I guess the absurdity of the situation and the real depth with which they are all focusing their thoughts over such a non-issue, especially while there are much more pressing issues at hand, like a transvestite is sitting and waiting so patiently for his dessert. Then, of course, that 'inside joke' laugh the waiter gives at the end is the topper. I guess I'm a fan of absurd humor.

Lucky, you should also search for vids using the terms "kith", "Bruce", "Foley" etc. I remember posting some that aren't in the playlist yet.

Watching this I felt a weird giddy sense of absurdity wash over me. I think that is what is so memorable about it. Everything is perfect from the wak vests and hairstyles to the soft, effete voice they are all using, not to mention it is directed well.

Bruce McDonald can make me laugh easier than anyone else on the planet. There's something about the "aw shucks" face he makes that cracks me up every time.
