Kid Rock does Propaganda for National Guard

This airing across the country in theaters during the previews. Over the top cheesy prpaganda with images of fires, Nascar, Kid Rock, Wars, and Soldier eyeing little Afghan boys like pedophiles.

Here are the lyrics

So don't tell me who's wrong and right
When liberty starts slipping away
And if you ain't gonna fight
Get out of the way

'Cause freedom ain't so free
When you breathe red, white and blue
I'm giving all of myself
How 'bout you?

And they call me warrior
They call me loyalty
And they call me ready to provide relief and help, I'm
Wherever you need me to be

I'm an American warrior
Oh
I'm an American warrior
Citizen Soldier

Ahhhhh Yeahhhhh!

(DEEP BACKGROUND) Citizen Soldier

I'll never leave another behind
I will never accept defeat
I'm a Soldier in war
Civilian in peace

'Cause freedom ain't so free
When you breathe red, white and blue
I'm giving all of myself
Cause that's what I do

And they call me warrior
They call me loyalty
And they call me ready to provide relief and help, I'm
Wherever you need me to be

I'm an American warrior
Citizen Soldier

Whoops, you're absolutely right. My bad. I saw "movie trailer/music video/to recruit for the National Guard" and I assumed it was the same thing. Wow, so there's at least two of these things out there. I thought the first one I saw (by Three Doors Down, link above) was enough of an anomaly by itself.

They both really awesomize the prospect of going off to prosecute the War On Terror, don't they? Mind you the only demographic they're likely to reach with this sort of production is late teens, perhaps rather dim ones. But then again the military won't say no to teens, dim ones or not.

So, why isn't Kid a member then? He can sell it, he should live it. I'm very disappointed in him right now.

Your question reminds me of the Bush daughter's scoffing laughter when asked the same question in Time magazine... "not feasible" or some other such nonsense.
