I'm suprised this dosent happen more often given that almost all kids have expensive telescopes lying around.

I'm prepared to ignore the retarded aspects of this for the sake of promoting science and anything that potentaily gets more kids into science can only really be good.

Hate this kind of reporting. Footage of her looking in the telescope bathed in the daylight of the camera lighting is insulting - especially when the discovery was made from photos sent to them from a real astronomer. I wonder if that telescope is even theirs. Her dad obviously made the discovery and got her to front for him, which is kinda sweet, but meh.
