Karl Rove Caught Trying to Rewrite History on the Iraq War

Karl Rove tries to blame Congress for rushing the U.S. into the Iraq war (the White House thought is was too soon). Resist the urge to punch your monitor.

I think many people will be fooled by this, so he is clever in doing so. He can even blame the Democrate majority congress for doing it. Now you might think "wait they were majority in 2002" but they are now and he knows by bringing negitive attention to any congress people will automatically take the bait and blame the "present" congress. Uhh what an ass

Karl Rove is the master of deception, as Scott Horton puts it best:

Obviously, Rove follows the same formula he’s used since his cadet days in the Nixon campaign. Tell a falsehood, but tell it firmly, unequivocally and forcefully enough, and the weak-minded will actually believe you. Rove has proven that this formula works. Hell, he’s even elected a president using it.

What are Rove's motives now other than selling books no one will read? Beats me.

For conservatives who never opposed the war, for whom Saddam's ouster took a decade too long, there's no "controversy" here. Rove is no longer a govt. employee. He can say whatever, no one is excused from vigilance.

Only for those parroting some of the greatest whoppers (e.g. "Bush lied", Bush knew [or planned] 9-11) of all time, with no interest in national defense, are Turd Blossom's "blame-shifting" remarks relevant or offensive.

If anyone wishes more voters had short memories and no access to google, it's Democrats.

Somebody please tell Countdown to No Ratings.

You might recall that Rove has devoted his career to the Republican party, and that there is an election coming along next year.

Are you also saying that he can lie on national news about events that occurred while he was in the government now that he's not being paid by the government?

Listen to Karl Rove and vote for Jesus.. because Jesus is a Republican and we all know he only has the interests of poor middle America at heart. After mega corporations, oil companies, and arms dealers of course.

If history is any evidence, conservatives will buy this, just like all the other bull* they've swallowed over the past 6 years. I lost all faith in the intelligence and critical thinking skills of Americans when Bush was re-elected.

Yes, the neocon supporters will definitely be buying into this garbage as usual.... it's in their wiring it seems. Just know that there are now more newly registered Republicans that don't follow the corrupt neocon agenda at all. There is much more to the political spectrum than the mass media would have you believe. It's not just left vs. right although many people still buy into this because it's what they've been conditioned with for the past decade.
