Enzobluesays...Funny about the massage. When i was in China I thought about getting one just on the trivia, but was told by a few different other tourists not to bother. One Polish couple I was talking to, the girl said she got nothing out of it and the guy said he felt worse after. Must be a dying art there.
handmethekeysyousays...These are the "best bits"? Good luck with this show.
Xaxsays...Ya, not that interesting to me. And neither would the experience be... I'm kind of on Karl's side.
If they just had a recording of Ricky laughing at Karl the whole time, though, I'd watch it.
Zonbiesays...A relaxing massage! ARRGHHH!
robbersdog49says...This 'best bits' clip doesn't work too well, but I've just watched the episode and haven't laughed that much for a long time. You need to see the other bits for these bits (and the way he deals with them) to make sense.
longdesays...@Enzoblue What!? The massages in China are divine. The workers are very service oriented and know what they are doing. Also, a spa treatment is probably cheaper than the US equivalent. The tourists you talked to must have gone to the wrong places, maybe tourist traps. Next time ask your concierge or an expat, or peruse an expat thread on the subject.
longdesays...For those wondering what the calligraphy people wrote, it was "Ka Er": 卡尔, pronounced "Kah are". In reality, it would be pronounced very quickly, like "car". So they did the best they could given the lack of an ending "L" sound. Shows the limitations of translating english phonetics into chinese language sounds.
