Depends how you mean 'scripted'.

If you mean he has pre-written a collection of retorts and observations which he adapts on the fly to fit as needed then I agree. This is just an extension of his material as a stand-up comic and perfectly normal, he's just very good at it.

However if you are suggesting the entire conversation was scripted and the audience member was a plant I would still disagree.
