Japanese politician calls for obliteration of Japan

YT:
"This is a REAL politician named Toyama Koichi that ran for the Prefectual governer of Tokyo "County". Every politician is given equal airtime in Japan to explain their platform, and the TV stations can not edit it and are therefore not responsible for its content. This guy is INSANE! The best part is, over 15,000 people VOTED FOR HIM!!!
And they say there is no hope for politics..."

This guy reminds me of someone....

From the moment he shifted to change posturally, I knew he was going to open his head and let it all fall out.

To this, I laughed the longest, hardest, and loudest I have all day.

Almost surreal, no, very surreal, I found myself waiting for him to rip off his face and John Belushi yell "It's Saturday...."

Hearing it in Japanese made it surreally perfect. Could have only been improved by Klingon.

I really lost it when he said if elected, he would be terrified.

He does have one point. If you belong to a minority group your vote doesn't count. Sort of like voting Democrat in Texas (Which I assume is a Republican voting state)... It is a pointless vote.

There are proportional systems in use in some places, but they do lead to their own problems - like really small minority parties getting to decide who governs, based on who they form a coalition with.

I love how some of the captions are punctuated or are put in all caps. Maybe it's just cause' I'm not used to listening to Japanese but, how can you possibly tell which of his statements are yelling and which are just him speaking normally?
