"It's A Lie And You're A Moron For Asking!"

I like how Krauthammer states that the reason why the Bilderberg meetings are so secret is because they're so boring. Only a complete idiot would actually believe that.

hey irishman?? what do you think of some of these Americans who actually believe this "right and left" or "republican/democrat bullshit???

like how the NPR tool adds "yet"..."there's no realty to those red veins at the northern part" after he assures that the main path is green-go....always distrust anyone who chuckles at grave proposals from a small number of sources
-they all laughed at Christoper Columbus, when he said the earth was round....

Heh, Krauthammer always seemed like an arrogant bastard in his columns. It's gratifying to know that he projects arrogance not only in the diction and tone of his written word, but also in speech, and even into the way he holds his eyebrows.

That said, a North American trade union was a historical inevitability for a long time--hence, NAFTA. It seems to me that a strengthening of the ties between the two nations wouldn't be out of character. There are economic and historical forces, such as the rise of China an economic power competing with North America, that seem as if they would strengthen the trade union. Mexico, for instance, would seem to be an excellent alternative for factory production. With the strengthening of such ties, it seems only natural that there would be various elements related to trade that would be hammered out. Product safety standards, for instance, might have to be standardized between the three countries. It was by such small steps that the European Economic Community became the EU.

That said, there are some serious forces at work disfavoring the creation of a North American Union. The US is so powerful that there would no doubt be worries in both Mexico and Canada that the US would use its position of strength to too great an extent. Mexico especially would be afraid of being put at a disadvantage. In addition, US terrorism fears have led to an unprecedented closing up of both its northern and southern borders. Something like a North American Union will be impossible until the US opens up its borders to free traffic.

It seems to me that once he (C.K) gets talking he kinda stumbles abit. It's like he talks ahead of himself, the ball gets rolling and he kinda goes "oh what was i going to say again AH yes.." It comes off abit fumbly. (Did I just make up a word?)

The EU was formed because those countries kept going to war with each other? Oh yeah man i remember the 70's with France invaded Spain and it was insane in the 80's when Italy and Denmark totally destroyed Britain. I guess after coming so close to a nuclear holocaust in the 90's with all the war going on in Europe it was just natural. Thank god for the EU, it saved us all.

Conflict resolution was a major reason the road to the current EU got started. Two world wars kicked off in Europe, and devasted it within 30 years. Reason enough for people to say this has to stop and put together a means to make it at least very difficult for it to happen again.

Though it was bought and sold on the economic principle because no country wants to be ruled by another. Why the UN has such a hard time doing anything. As long as it makes your country money why not sort of thing. Thats why I suppose the Amero seems really good to a lot of people, because at first glance it seems harmless enough. Though i question the true motivations of it all.
