it is very disingenious of them to say that 90% of americans believe in god because it begs the question...which god. 90% do not believe in the christian god. while the number is quite high, I think somewhere between 70 - 85% (I'm sure someone will find the exact number for me:-)
there are plenty of gods that people believe in, but none of them believe in another persons religion. so as Dawkins says, believers are athiest in regards to others religions, we (athiests) just go one god further

Yeah, unfortunately EMPIRE, there is more than enough people who actually watch this crap, so there is a market for their BS. I'm sad to say that my parents watch this shit all the time, which invariably results in arguments between them and my brother and I when when we come home to visit. And I know that their circle of friends all buy into it as well. It's TV for old, rich, white people who have their heads up their asses about some things.

I think these *lies are absolutely filled with ironic *comedy.
