Invention solves problem of folding bikes looking dorky

A student has designed a bike which can be folded completely into the space of the wheel's 26in circumference.
Dominic Hargreaves's bike, The Contortionist, has been shortlisted for this year's James Dyson Award for innovation.
"I couldn't find a folding bicycle I liked," he added.
"I wanted something that could take a bit of punishment and that you could have fun with.
"So I made one myself."

I'm guessing people who go for folding bikes want the mechanism to be fast and simple to use, which that doesn't seem to be.

I would like a couple of those in the trunk of my car, I think it would be fun.

Chinese women can do this as well.

Brilliant! The only thing I would add is for that one handle bar to be telescoping so that when it's folded up, you can extend it out as the "carrying" handle. He seems to have to hunch over when wheeling it around.

no crank, no gears, no chain and no dereailleurs. Not gonna be much fun to ride in it's current form, and I doubt it will fold so easilty if it had all that stuff.
