Sagemindsays...I like Mark and I love the Joker's voice but I have a hard time picturing the voice coming out of Mark's mouth. I don't hear Joker in his regular voice.
Does anyone know of some video of Mark actually voicing the Joker's words?
therealblankmansays...Whoah, looks like that Wampa tore his face up really bad.
smoomansays...he was in a nasty car wreck after empire and before return. Watch em again you'll see.
thepinkysays...^Actually, the car accident occured while they were still filming A New Hope, and the change is indeed apparent. They had to use a double for him in a few scenes. It's too bad because he was a hottie in A New Hope. But he's friggin Mark Hamill so who cares?
Mark Hamill is awesome. He has done TONS of work since Star Wars, but it is almost always voice acting and TV. Not many people realize that his voice is all over the place in the animation world because he sounds nothing like himself. My favorite role that he has played since Star Wars is Fire Lord Ozai in Nickelodean's Avatar: The Last Airbender (an excellent show and highly recommended even for adults). He is great in that role and as creepy and intimidating as anything.
xxovercastxxsays...imdb lists voice acting work for anyone who's curious.

deathcowsays...he also did "Muska" in "Castle In The sky" and he was awesome... hard to imagine the voice coming from him - very close to this joker voice
mark hamil looks like he is turning into William H. Macy
furrycloudsays...Wow, I never knew Hamill did so much voice work!
gunjamsays...He did a lot of voices for old Lucas Arts games, he did at least 4 of the characters in Full Throttle - not that you'd notice, they all sound completely different.
campionidelmondosays...It really doesn't sound like his voice. It probably isn't and they only say that to get all the nerds hooked on this children's tv show.

Looks like it worked, too.

I stand corrected. Curses! My reputation as Star Wars Geek will be destroyed!!
And yes, Marky Mark Hamill was a dreamboat in A New Hope
Delicious, delicious Mark Hamill
kageninsays...I remember him doing some late night show where he was asked about doing the Joker voice, and he couldn't do it for very long in front of an audience. Its an extremely animated (har har) character, that he's not comfortable performing in front an audience at all.

Actually, I'm so much of a nerd that I loved Avatar even before I knew Mark Hamill was in it. But it is really cool. I think that even if you're not a super nerd like me you would enjoy it.
Mark Hamill really improved as an actor by Return. His looks got worse, his acting got better. It's hard to say which is more desirable.

Watch it. They start out good and just keep getting better.
