messengerWhat do you do dog?
raven"Cheap Imitation of Goth!" I couldn't have phrased it better myself!
randomizegeez, i wish i could down vote...
BoneyDI'm kinda getting tired of the whole 'calling someone "gay" as a term of derision' thing... Can't we grow up and get over our homophobia already?
messengerI'm with you on that score, but if you take a look at the video, you're being reactionary. In this vid, "gay" actually means homosexual, like, its true (current) meaning, not a random derisive comment, so you can unknot your knickers.
KrupoIt was a stellar gag in this video, if what you're talking about is what I think I recall.
messengerIf what I'm talking about is what you think you recall??
Too many embeddes clauses. I'm going to sleep now.
cobaltsays...Why did they do the credits in red? I guess they don't know too much about what compression does to sharp red lines.
I think I first heard this song over a year ago, I'm surprised no one made a video before now.

BoneyDNo that's exactly what i'm commenting on, I know what gay means and how they've used it, but I should probably elaborate on my remark... The subtle insinuation that someone who is gay is somehow a lesser person or more disgusting because they kiss other <insert same sex> is the joke that's really getting old.
To quote from the song:
"If I said I like girls, i'd only be half right" (followed by a photo of two men kissing)
"My parents don't get me, they think i'm gay cause I kissed a guy..."
- My comment to the singer is, "So friggen what?" Why is that even a problem at all? Why does it matter that you are attracted to? I thought we were attacking their dress sense and childishly negative moodswinging. If someone's parents have a problem with their child being gay, then that's their problem and they need to deal with it.
I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but I think we should all take a step back when we hear this subtle method of attacking character. This is no different to making fun of someone because of their sex or race, since these also are not choices.
