therealblankmanI've always found the easiest way to de-skank my toilet was to call her a cab, but a can of Coke's good too...
rich_magnetFinally, a good use for Coke, besides loosening up really rusty old bolts and dissolving baby teeth.
ShepppardDidn't mythbusters already disprove this ages ago?
Adam went to town on the bathroom, and Jamie got pissed about it. Once the coke failed, he used a grease cleaner. They tried on a car engine, too, if I recall correctly.
alien_conceptUnfortunately my toilet is pristine, or I'd give it a bash! They use this method on How Clean Is Your House...

I think the idea in this case is that the cola removes any limescale that has formed and then acquired stains. Limescale can be removed by weak acids such as vinegar or lemon juice, so cola should have no problem.
If I remember the episode correctly, Adam just applied grease to the outside of the toilet, not on to any internal limescale build-up and, as you pointed out, cola is a pretty poor grease remover.
