choggieBet he was randy, not much can keep a determined dog away from the ol' bitch in season aroma...

Looks dangerous! He should make the fence flush with the roof of the deck. I met a dog owner last week that lost hers this way. He climbed the fence like this, but his collar became caught on the fence on the way down and he hung himself. Pretty sad.

lucky760It gives me some insight into how my guy possibly was able to repeatedly escape his baby-gated area every day as a few-month-old puppy.
swampgirlHe's impressive alright. It's worthy to post, don't get me wrong.. I think there's a certain cringe factor, worrying the dog was going to hurt himself. I'm bit paranoid when it comes to pups though. That's why all of my dogs live inside and stink up my house and we never go on vacations.
OBSESSION
RottyI'm with you swampgirl. People need to be very aware as to how they try to contain their pets. Sometimes there are tragic consequences. And my two rotties make it impossible to have a clean house. One loves to stand in front of the big screen tv and shake her drool on it. But they are so loyal and extremely friendly. No vacations here either.
neteansays...top marks.. clever dog...weren't you all just willing him over towards the end?
smibboI figure if the dog disdains his owner and life as a "kept" dog so much, let em go. Don't let them come back and don't feed them when they try. If being fed daily, walked, loved and regular health care is so awful, go live in the wild. Jut make sure the dog is spayed or neutered first.
Had a dog like that once. Got out thrice and I didn't take it back. Oh well... plenty dogs want a loving home who won't run off.
