Hmm, hope it's good.

I'm still hoping that peter jackson eventually decides to sign back on to make the halo books/games into a movie, but for now this'll probably quench my thirst.

However, hopefully this doesn't go the other end of the spectrum and ruin the lore behind the series.

Bones studio makes some good stuff... I'm pretty sure they were responsible for FMA and Soul eater

Well... the trailer sucks... that can't be a good sign.

I wouldn't say it sucked, although I can understand it might not have been very interesting for people who aren't familiar with the material. As a fan of the Halo Universe it definitely piqued my interest. I'm guessing it was designed to appeal to the hardcore audience. The trailer seemed to hint at a lot of newly revealed canon and for that I'll sign on and give it a try.

Of course, I'm not exactly a hard sell for the creators but I'm not such a blind fan boy that I'll continue to watch if it sucks.

There seems to be a trend with this sort of thing happening

Animatrix for the third matrix movie, Gothem Knight for The Dark Knight, and now this is coming out before Halo: Reach.

Interesting they're taking that route to advertise for a video game though.

Dead Space did this as well. Wasn't the greatest anime ever, but it tied in as a prequel nicely. Great game too.
