Guy (with nice scarf) couldn't have a worse time on a bus

A guy gets his wallet stolen by a gang while riding a bus in Paris. He is beaten up in front of the other passengers while he tries to get it back.

I felt much worse for the guy on the left of the screen at 4:40, he got punched twice in the head for absolute no reason. (i know the others aren't justified, but this one was in plain view of the camera)

Wow, now I know, French gangstas dress like run of the mill Seattelites.

Gah...Did anyone else see how sloppily the kid in the white hoodie was wailing on the guy with the scarf and seriously want to kick him in his prepubescent gnads for his half-assed Star Trek punch alone? I hate it when random people get assaulted.

I ride the bus all the time. I've seen fights before and have avoided getting involved. However, if I saw someone in this situation I would have to step in and try to break it up or fend off the attacks until the police arrived. I understand some people not wanting to get involved, but if most of those people jumped in to defend that guy, those punks would not have stood a chance. The police can't be everywhere at once. Citizens have a responsibility to do something if at all possible. Luckily the victim suffered minor injuries but it could have easily been worse.

If you look closely, he throws out his leg and trips the guy, hence the punch.
I'm glad i don't live in Paris anymore...

Pity we're showing this here. The video was leaked on Facebook by one of the police officers who was working on the case. Faces weren't blurred. It is therefore illegal to broadcast it, in France anyway. YouTube and Dailymotion complied and removed the video. The police officer has since been suspended.
This was all over the French media recently. One of the reasons was conservative/far right politicians and newspapers tried to hijack the debate on urban violence and use this video as an evidence that immigrants (or French youth of African origin) are dangerous. The main victim, a student, refused to become the face of the far right racist agenda, said he's recovering well from the attack but was upset the video was released.

BreaksTheEarth: Four years ago, in London near where I live, a passenger of the 43 bus was stabbed to death because he told his killer to stop shouting insults at his girlfriend. Will this go onto your list of why you like London?

I would have messed those guys up. They don't know how to fight, just bully innocent meek people with numbers and aggression. That's pretty sad.

You get an upvote for referencing both Seattle and Star Trek. Well done.

We have those "disenfranchised youths" in my country as well. Just as bad.
The left loves them though, since they function as their main voting machine/shock troops.

Gotta balance out the redneck, gun toting nutjobs that are all too excited to pay for their un-free freedom.

But, all jokes aside, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you don't actually believe what you just said.
