Umm... actually I've played this and its a ton of fun. Only people who have insecurity problems would bash this like you did.. Neversoft isn't dumb, they know how to market things and create AAA products. and they know their audience well

I'm upvoting simply to get other people to be aware of it. Though the singer reminded me of the "Here's to you ____ guy"

As a guitar player myself, I had a bit of fun with Rock Band when it first came out, and it even influenced my friend to buy a real drum kit (of which he tears it up on now).

I just personally think that if you're that into music to buy all of these different guitar hero games, then perhaps it's about time you pick up an actual instrument and start playing.
