They are encouraging aggressive behavior. This can only end in tears and/or blood.

I have friends with a little asshole dog like this. Every time I go over there the dog bites someone, sometimes drawing blood, and the excuse is always "Oh, he has a lot of puppy energy!" Last time I was there he sank his teeth into my arm while we were watching TV.

I like the dog, I always play with the dog when I'm there, but he's like 3 now and it's well past time he learned not to eat the guests.

I hope they don't have kids any time soon. They're gonna be some terrors if they're taught anything like the dog.
