Combination of the drink and the heroine withdrawal. Gross. Definitely one of the most honest, while at the same time darkly entertaining, no-holds-barred depictions of drug addiction and gleeful nihilism ever caught in film. Trainspotting hits the nail on the proverbial head in that respect.
