i guess you could say that i use a roux ... minus the butter! lol my roux comes in handy when i make baked mac & cheese though!

depending on the volume of my drippings, i usually add about 1c of water, salt, pepper, flour/water mixture, a dash of maggi, and depending on the dish ... i sometimes add a dash of gravy master for more color. i prefer my gravies more on the thicker side!
