Float weightlessly in the Airbus A300 Zero G!

You don't have to go to space to experience true weightlessness. The Airbus A300 Zero G does the trick with just a clever "free fall" trajectory. I have personally flown in this very aircraft, doing experiments in zero g.

Cool stuff. What kinds of experiments did you do @Ornthoron?

@dag: I studied how fluids mix in a granular medium, ie in a glass cylinder filled with small plexiglass pebbles. When air is inserted into such a cylinder filled with a liquid, it creates beautiful finger-like structures if done in the absence of gravity.

Very cool. I did this in a Cessna once. For about 2.5 seconds.
