Due to the recent spate of demo videos on the sift, I figured I would go back in time and sift the first Amigo demo/intro ever by a crack group.
From Youtube:
"MEGABYTE INC: LEADERBOARD GOLF [cracktro] A.K.A. THE FIRST AMIGA INTRO (1986)
Code, GFX & Sampling: Skywalker/Megabyte Inc
Fixed for all Amigas (original was A1000 only): Mr.Spiv/Complex
Capture & x264 encode by Lemming/FIG
Hardware: Amiga 500 rev 6A PAL ECS Agnus 1MB feat NEW loudness hack by directly altering A500's op.amp
Special greetz to #suomiscene & Arabuusimiehet
Notes: Yes, this is the first intro (basically the first demo as well) ever done on the Amiga; a crack-intro for Access Software's Leaderboard Golf.
It's superb. Dig the mega Jarre sample!!"

siftbotMoving this video to LarsaruS's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.

siftbotPromoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued - promote requested by deathcow.
shinyblurrysays...I had one of these..was really incredible for its time. It had a great GUI, and a ton of awesome games and utiltiies. Shadow of the beast..blood money..even deluxe paint 2 was cool I remember upgrading it from 512k to 1024k of ram so I could play dragons lair. Those were the days..
deathcowThey were indeed the days. I dont know what could rekindle that type of computing excitement : ) I went from Commodore 64 to Atari ST to PC (dos 3.3 days). Didnt get hands on Amiga time until about 1991 or so when I played Armageddon endlessly.
