Anyone else heard the rumour that the people who appear on Sesame Street are doing so because they were court ordered to community service? Or is it just me...I've always wondered if that was true.

Yes, it's true. Feist, Michael Stipe, Tyra Banks, The Backstreet Boys, Jack Black, James Blunt, Tim Robbins, Noah Wyle, Blair Underwood and about one hundred other celebrities were all only on Sesame Street to honor a court order. I mean, it's a rumor you heard, it MUST be true!
