I think it's incredibly foolish that this woman is afraid of cotton, to the point where she can't even change her child's diapers.

But bringing her onto a stage with cameras and chasing her around with a guy covered in cotton balls while the audience and the show host laugh - that seems low. How will that help her get over her fear? It doesn't seem any different from what she said her 8 year old does - chase her around with cotton for his own amusement.

I love these clips. In every one of them - pickles, cotton, balloons, peaches (yeah, there's an episode for each) they always run back stage against his warnings only to scream at the immense about of <insert phobia item here>.

My 15 year old cousin has the same fear. She is absolutely terrified of cotton, and actually had a student in her school nearly suspended for dumping a box of cotton balls on her. The thing I find the weirdest about this fear is that she is not afraid of the cotton clothes she wears or even cotton-swabs, just 'pure' cotton like cotton balls. She also talks about the 'noise' that cotton makes and how it freaks her out. Personally I think her and the lady in the video need some professional help, that's one messed up, irrational fear.
