""Left-Wing Westboro Cult" — that's how Fox Nation categorized the Westboro Baptist Church, the notorious "independent" (hate) group that's notoriously been protesting funerals in Newtown of late. Fox used the description in a story about the funerals posted to its website last week, but it's getting passed around today. In honor of this Left-Wing Cult, we've collected visual evidence of Westboro's severe left-wing behavior to back up Fox News's bold assertion."*
The clowns at Fox News are at again. Now they're saying the loathsome Westboro Baptist Church is "left-wing" and Fred Phelps is "a democrat." Really? Since when are left-wingers fundamentalist? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian set the record straight.

robbersdog49says...How do Fox get away with this?
Yogisays...It's not illegal to just lie. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix that...imagine a law that said something like you need two sources to verify something before you report it even on 24 hour news channels. It wouldn't really fix anything it would just make everything more complicated.
You can't stop them...you can fight them by staying informed and informing others objectively and not stridently.

@Yogi, didn't I read somewhere that Canada has laws about being accurate on air? And that Fox News was lobbying to have that law removed from the books?

Yogisays...Canada might have a law about being accurate but Propaganda is most convincing when much of it is accurate. I've never seen Canadian News so it would be interesting to watch the coverage of a major event and fact check them.
I remain very skeptical.

I am constantly after my super conservative relatives to do snopes checks before they repeat their conservative drivel. And here I am, repeating liberal drivel.
My bad. And lesson learned, yet one more time....
Yogisays...Yeah I'm not trusting Snopes. I can do my own research if it was something I cared about...sadly I don't care about how Canada reports it's News or really how Fox News does it.
I have a grandmother who watches Fox and blames Obama for everything, we get along great. Mostly because I know Obama is just another horrible human being supported by the money in this country and helped by the managers of the society.
To me the Tea Party makes perfect sense, they're pissed...they're just pissed at the wrong people.

bmacs27says...False. They're pissed at half of the right people, just not all of them.

Yogisays...Uh no...being made at politicians is pretty pointless as well.
