atheist " what is your evidence for god" ?
Christian "I don't have anny"
jimnmssays...I guess it's ok for them to crash an atheist group meeting, but imagine the uproar if atheists crashed a church and start questioning their beliefs.

Atheist "Science"
Believer "What specifically" ?
Atheist "The big bang!"
Believer "What made the big bang" ?
Atheist mumbles "Random occurence"
Believer "LololololOLOLol!!!111oneone"
jiyanibisays...Example Debate 3:
Unicornist: "What is your evidence for there being no unicorns"?
Theist: "Because unicorns only exist in fairytale books created by man."
Unicornist: "Good point."
braindonutsays...Um... Crillep... You may want to consider reading some books about logic.

Also, there was this really good video a while back that touched on the beginning of the universe:

Fascinating stuff.
Anyway... teapots and all that... proving a negative... etc etc...
shuacsays...Logic, evidence, reason...none of those things hold any value to a person with faith. In fact, the god-fearing are as interested in logic, evidence, and reason as the non-theist is interested in emotional appeals, anecdotal evidence, and using subjective experience as a basis for objective claims. Hence, any debate about the existence of god is a wholesale waste of time for all involved, which is why I don't involve myself in them.
If someone wants to limit the debate to something less esoteric like, say, the morality of the bible?...oh, I'm on it like a bonnet.
evil_disco_mansays..."Believe in God. You're never alone."
You're also never alone if you have MPS. Believe in MPS.
hpqpsays...OOoooh, the wicked atheists are trying to "recruit new members"!
No, that is what religious people do. As far as I know, there is no atheist "church", and to join an atheist society one of the requisites is being atheist (or at least agnostic) already.
Pathetic christians, pulling the desperate "you do it too" argument (cf. the "you have faith too" argument for another example).
shuacsays...^ Yes, hp. It's interesting to note that theists, once their special pleading, emotional appeals, and circular logic has been exhausted, can think of nothing worse to say about atheism than "it's just another religion."
alizarinsays...Lakeland has been home to some unusually big evangelical Megachurches since the 80s
gwiz665says...Justify your beliefs. If you cannot, they are not worth believing.
