siftbotsays...Moving this video to Bakalex's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.
8756says...*beg
siftbotsays...Sending this video to Beggar's Canyon to plea for a little attention - beg requested by original submitter Bakalex.
Shepppardsays...I laughed at this, because it's true. The only truly GOOD feature about that game is the fact that you can pay for the monthly subscription with in-game currency.
Other then that, the controls are horrible because its not just point and click..its point, click to bring up the menu, select sub-catagory of the menu, select distance at which to stop at object, go.
Not only that, but the game itself was frustrating, as you see the exciting world of mining to get money, you don't get ore every hit..which is acceptable, but when you don't get ore after 5 minutes, that's a problem, and made worse by the fact that every time I tried to fly to a damn minefield, my ship would stop like 500km short, and i'd have to fly normally the rest of the way there, unable to warp.
jwraysays...what's the music at the beginning called? I've definitely heard that somewhere before.
rottenseedsays...the verve - bittersweet symphony

It's Verve's Bittersweet Symphony. There was quite a messy legal battle behind that song. link
HadouKen24says...Meh. Not very funny, IMO. So what if the game doesn't have a lot of action? It's not an action game.
furrycloudsays...Lol, good movie, and fairly accurate. I've tried EvE, the learning curve killed me though. How I wish for an mmo that is like freelancer...
Farhad2000says...Mining in a Bestower? You're doing it wrong. No mining bonuses and only one high slot.
Doing missions in a Navitas? You're doing it wrong. Mining bonuses but no combat bonuses.
EVE Online is not for everyone really, its a harsh, large unforgiving universe full of people who want to either blow you up, scam you or steal your stuff.
But I love it. PVP is one of the best things to do in the game. But yes, the game is really pretty much glorified Windows 3.1 with a space background. But there is a huge sandbox with alot of complexity.
syncronsays...lol, so very true, I quit EVE because pirates kept blowing up my mining barges
8756says...Do you speak about the 'jihadswarm' ?
I play this game for years now (5 ... i know, i'm a no-life ), and, even if the learning curve is not usual, or a bit long, it remains a very great game.
This video is to be taken as a parody or comedy. Actually, I find it very funny
uhohzombiessays...screw eve, i hate this terrible game. Jumpgate: Evolution is where it's at. Considering Eve borrowed greatly from the original Jumpgate, it's only fair that Jumpgate should return and completely demolish Eve. Honestly, these games *need* real-time active dogfighting and to play like X-Wing/Privateer/Freelancer or they're just a waste of 99% of space-sim fans' time.
gwiz665says...I tried this as my first MMO game and it basically killed me. Luckily World of Warcraft has resurrected me to the zombie-state I am now. Oh right, braaains...
eatboltsays...Actually, it all came from Trade Wars 2002.
8756says...You simply can't compare EvE with Jumpgate. In jumpgate, you control fighters or that sort of ships. In EvE, the smallest ships (except the shuttles) are slightly bigger than a Boeing 747. These are frigates, and the equivalent for jumpgate ship are the drones. You're more a captain at a deck than a pilot in its cockpit.
EvE is also about building empires, and occasionnaly fighting (which can be very intense when it comes to 200 vs 200, with all kind of ship, from frigate to capital ship like Titans that are 15-17km long).
Zonbiesays...Well it made me chortle...
the *music fits quite well:)
siftbotsays...Invocations (music) cannot be called by Zonbie because Zonbie is not privileged - sorry.
