I've added an amazon link to the book, "E=mc^2" by David Bodanis.

This is a fairly small book that charts the history of the science and discoveries which lead up to E=mc^2. Its written in an easy to follow and understand style and I recommend it to anyone, and everyone, who has curiosity about this equation and/or the history of science.
