dystopianfuturetodaysays...Hey, you with the camera... a little help please?
siftbotsays...The thumbnail image for this video has been updated - thumbnail added by vaporlock.
Retroboysays...It would help if the little guy behind the rock would just scootch down a little. You know, crouch. Reduce his vertical profile slightly. Place his head at a lower altitude. Dodge somewhat downward. Compress the upright position of his body as if dodging an object that was tossed at his skull.
What's the word I'm trying to come up with here... hmm
Hybridsays...The duck clearly went under that rock from the right. It simply needs to reverse back out. It should probably just sit tight and wait for evolution to work it's magic and give it a brain capable of figuring that out.
Evolution does work on a single, already living creature right?
ponceleonsays...Are we sure that's what going on here? I've seen birds interact a lot and know that there are strange reactions to what I think is a perception of weakness where birds will attack another one and peck at it incessantly.
Could the other bird be trying to hide?

Yea I agree, it appeared to be more a show of dominance than a show of helping a fellow duck. When a female duck gets all submissive it usually means mating time for the drake, in this case the drake was a little unsure how to "follow through" so got a bit nervous hence the odd behavior. It's also not unusual for female ducks to join in with this kind of thing. Perhaps I'm wrong, and the stuck duck was late for supper and cakes, and the other two wanted to air their grievances.
antsays...So what happened after this? Did it die?
RhesusMonksays...Do they succeed? I'm not watching this duck (a/k/a awesomest cutest creature that swims as a regular means of motility aside from the otter) video until someone tells me whether they succeed.
