Downhill mountain bike run, filmed cinematically in one take

From y/t:

This uninterrupted shot was filmed by the most advanced gyro-stabilized camera system, the GSS C520, mounted to a truck on a custom road built next to a custom trail that took three weeks to build. This true cinematic achievement required perfect coordination between Semenuk, Anthill Films, and TGR with regard to athleticism, planning, timing and logistics. Injured at the time, Semenuk only hit the full line once.
Babymechsays...

Different makes of bike for different styles of track - he switches from a slopestyle bike for the jumps to a downhill bike when the track gets more vertical (not that he doesn't pull off at least one great jump with the downhill bike, though).

Quite the skill, rider and production alike!

Why does he switch bikes?

Hipnoticsays...

Well done, executed and shot!
IMHO it would have looked cooler if he had shown his awesome skills on untouched terrain instead of the mountainside carving that took place.

Paybacksays...

Reminds me of a real life line rider...
