Our ethics may not be up to it now, but when the technology comes we will have to adapt our ethics. Or should the government deprive its people from life extension via laws? That would be unethical.
Yes I think suicide/euthanasia would become the norm for people who extend their lives. I think it's great that people would be able to choose when they die. Instead of a normal funeral you could have a going away party with friends where you can say goodbye and die peacefully at the end of the evening.
