Democrat State of Union Response - Jim Webb

theo47says...

Regarding ethanol, everything I've read says that to create ethanol actually creates a net loss in energy. Plus, the amount of corn required is fairly ridiculous.

As I understand it, the best alternatives right now are diesel and biodiesel.

quantumushroomsays...

Theo is correct about the corn squeezins'.

Jim here is a fine speaker...the Democratic presidential hopefuls left this "dirty" job to him in case of blunders.

The economy is currently excellent, but the mainstream drive-by media won't say that (whether it's true or not) unless a Democrat is in the White House.

Once again we're treated to a dose of leftist class envy, antipodal to national unity. Why? Because it works among those who feel victimized by life and want someone else to pay. And pay. And pay.

Sad.

I heard no Democratic plan for Iraq in there, just obtuse reiterations of the "cut and run" non-strategy. Democrats have already declared this war a loss, which is ridiculous.

The swing idiots that put the socialists partially back in power to punish fake conservatives ended up teaching no one a lesson. Not even themselves, I'm afraid.

QM: can you once have something concise and factual? Some opinion of your own, not some obtuse diatribe you read on LGF or wingnuttery...

How many more dead Americans, before you realize the Global War on Radical Extremism is about as successful as Bush's business ventures, or the War on Drugs, War on Poverty, War on Illegal Immigrants, etc.

Farhad2000says...

Individual critical thought is too much of a stretch for QM, Joedirt.

It's best he sleeps, shepherded by his minders.

He loves the aggressive rhetoric of LGF and other right wing outlets because it satisfies his need to feel empowered by political situations being called like NFL plays.

phelixiansays...

farhad you're as bad as the corporate facist regime which needs to tumble. what happened to free speach er... tags?

it's cool though as long as people listen to both sides and make a rational choice on their own. (god I wish that actually happened.)

QM if you think the economy is good right now you must believe in trickle down economics and hubbert's '56 peak oil projections.

any country where an individual in lower middle class(me) pays near 25% tax rate but the bomb making military companies get their already low 14% cut to 7% during a time of extreme boom for them isn't a place that fosters the economy of the people.

not to mention our dollar which in a not-very-well-thought -out plan to increase exports was purposefully devalued over the last 6 years.

yeah the economy is great....
