Funny that some feel sorry for the thing while lots of others feel like they would just go in and grab their rifle.

lucky, you cruel s.o.b No major offense intended really, as I've done a little hunting myself, but I mean, what's there to laugh at? And did you really think for a second the plank was meant for killing it? I don't think anybody would dare post a video on VS showing people bludgeoning animals to death (no, that's not a dare) and I think you should have realized that, too.

Besides, this was just a fawn/calf and although it's not illegal to hunt them in most countries, in UK, for instance, killing it with the plank would be considered against the law. Anyway, immoral is what it would be, even with a rifle.

Don't get me wrong, I love eating me some venison. Yum. But, in this context, my heart goes out to this animal.

Would have been nicer if the guy spent less time filming and more time just helping the animal out.

I, on the other hand, would first release then take aim, because, as we all know, the moving target is a highly difficult shot!

I have never heard the deer whine that loud before.

I was sure the plank was for humanitarian reasons but it didn't totally look that way --

dude: "hey, you're okay..."
deer: "(OH GOOD CHRIST HE'S GOT A BOARD WITH A NAIL IN IT) EEAGHH!"
dude: "hey! you're okay!"

Then when the camera tilted up at the sky for a few seconds I wondered if maybe it was going to turn out to be a new deer-smacking viral video after all.
