Morganthsays...Grrr. Where are my stupid 3D glasses?
BoneyDsays...The studios are pushing 3D because:
a) it stops bootleggers from using handy-cams in the cinemas (even though most discerning pirates wait 'till the DVD rip or screener arrives).
b) they want to sell premium priced tickets to their movies (obviously).
c) they want to sell expensive DVDs and TVs.
Storytelling, etc. has nothing to do with it.
cybrbeastsays...It actually looked pretty good with my silly glasses.
I really appreciate 3D in movies when it's done well. I just think the directors and producers need a while to further improve the way they utilize it. And what's really important is that they increase the framerate of movies, in flying and fast sequences 24-48fps is just too low. We need 120-240 at least.
alizarinsays...Party pooper
Truckchasesays...Again, I'm going to represent the grumpy old man sentiment here and say 3D for movies is obnoxious even when done well.
GEEET off my lawn!
gorillamansays...These are designer glasses, they're not idiotic-looking, they cost a lot of money!
