An IM came through the plugoo widget on my profile. He said he was a Producer with the Daily Show and that they wanted to use the Gary England clip I'd posted. He asked if I had either a digital or vhs copy of the original promo. I pointed him to youtube and told him sorry, I didn't have a local copy. Then I said 'well, if you use it, give us a plug' and his reply was 'watch tommorow!'

I PMed James and Dag afterwards, I was fired up.

Hey now, it's not like we owned the clip...they certainly could have come here looking for a copy after they'd seen it elsewhere - I didn't ask how they got here or if they were regular visitors. I couldn't chat for long, actually had people in my training office at the time and was about to start a class.

Yeah, although a plug would have been nice - it's still gratifying to know that the Sift is fulfilling its role as the place to find the best videos online.

Actually, Sandman, it looks like the original promo was posted on Digg a day after I posted it here, and it only got one vote. I found it through my 'tornado' subscription at youtube.
