MichaelLsays...We used to do this same trick with our kids... didn't work for long.
LiquidDriftsays...I thought he was going to pull some carrots out of the kit kat wrapper.
Sniper007says...He missed an opportunity with that yawn early on.
My children wouldn't even know what a kit kat was, much less desire it. They know that cndy gives you diabetes.
aaronfrsays...Well then maybe you should have a talk with them since they are clearly misinformed. Candy/sugar doesn't cause diabetes. It can make you fat which can trigger the onset of diabetes which some people are genetically predisposed towards, but that is very different from causing it.
Feed your kids right but don't lie to them.

JustSayingsays...But did she find out how much her father betrayed her?!
I hate cliffhangers!
mxxconsays...When her father is old and frail, she'll do the same to him.
Sniper007says...I wasn't being literal. I just meant they know candy holds no virtue or health for the human body. It's a vice, something to be avoided, as it negatively effects your blood sugars almost immediately which in turn can affect mood, and thus behavior. And yes, diabetes is something high sugar consumtion can lead to. You can get as technical as you want in describing every step down that road. I don't know all the details, and one doesn't need to know about a disease in order to avoid it.

aaronfrsays...@Sniper007 Fine if you weren't being literal, but framing candy as a vice seems a bit of a big moral statement; I'm not a fan of classifying things that way.
Half the vices which the world condemns most loudly have seeds of good in them and require moderate use rather than total abstinence.
- Samuel Butler
He has all of the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.
- Winston Churchill
It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues.
-Abraham Lincoln
