LiveLeak: Edited down from 42 minutes.
Blackman-Leoni Township police released a video Tuesday of a stolen police SUV that lead officers on a wild chase through three Michigan counties.
Police say Ryan Elliot Cunningham, 34, escaped custody Friday and stole a Chevy Tahoe safety vehicle.
Cunningham was arrested at the Colonial Inn Motel, 6027 Ann Arbor Road, before stealing the SUV. Blackman-Leoni Sergeant Chris Boulter told the Jackson Citizen Patriot that Cunningham allegedly had a sawed off shotgun, meth and components to make the drug at the motel. Cunningham was in custody in the rear seat of the SUV, wearing nothing but black underwear, when moved to the front seat, stealing the vehicle.
Michigan State Police pursued the SUV on 75 mile chase with speeds exceeding 100mph on 1-94; ending in a crash on US-23 two miles from the Ohio state line.
Cunningham was arraigned Tuesday facing seven felony charges that include fleeing an officer, auto theft, two methamphetamine-related charges and three firearm charges.

Kofisays...When I watch Cops and I see them chase suspects I am always surprised that this doesnt happen more often. They just leave their cars wide open with all that gear and I would assume shotguns etc.
Kudos for the shot at the end of the dude in his undies. Knowing that this whole episode took place in a pair of jockies makes it so much better.
therealblankmansays...^agreed, the ginch shot is the perfect punchline.
shagen454says...So, dangerous. He figured out how to put the siren on but was passing cars on the right hand side doing 80 - 100. There had to be a better to way to end this than putting a dozen people's lives at risk by blocking off the highway. It's still pretty funny watching the cops notice he is getting away, getting to the stairs and being like "Fuck! Stairs!"
Phreezdrydsays...No remote shutoff to end this before it began. Oh well.

Actually, I'm fairly certain the siren is from the patrol car he had just passed an had caught up to him.
Enzobluesays...Just don't chase him. Problem solved. Radio is faster than a cruiser... Cops love a good chase though.
Nebosukesays...Can't tell if he found the siren at some point. A spike strip had found him by the last section, from the sounds of it. Didn't slow him down though.
