Completely legal. The ball was "hiked," and the other team just stood there.

Ant, I'm told that it is legal in pro and collegiate ball, but the chance of it succeeding is much less because the defenders are much less likely to fall for such a gimmick play and instead just charge in as soon as the ball is handed back.

I actually believe this sort of techniques should be used a whole lot more. It would ass an level of wit and humour many sports don't have. It would only favor them.
