(1981) Perseus leads his men into the lair of the Gorgon Medusa, to claim her head in order to defeat the Kraken. Stop motion creature effects were done by Ray Harryhausen, master behind other films, such as Jason and the Argonauts and The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.

God friggin damn I loved watching these movies when growing up. I still remember the scenes from Hercules the movie when he flooded the river to clean out the stable.

when he's looking at medusa in the 'mirrored' reflection of his shield, it is not physically possible for him to see the medusa in his shield if the shield was showing her image to the camera .... would it? (dun dun dun!)
