Edeotsays...The look on Phil Ivey's face when he plays poker is nothing short of disturbing.
zorsays..."He's not just going to sit around and wait to flop the nuts."
gnargnarsays..."We are watching some poker here."
These dudes make more commenting in a year, than I do in a decade...

i think they would get sick of me about the fifth time i said, "look at this motherfucker right here!"
HaricotVertsays...Phil Ivey is to poker what Obama is to politics. He's a class act, for sure.
kymbossays...I would have totally flopped my nuts.
EDDsays...Definitely worth an upvote, but it was too predictable; I just KNEW Ivey wouldn't fold.
Lithicsays...Commentator: "I don't see how he can possibly continue with this hand."
Phil Ivey: "All in."
Commentator: "WHAT?!"
BALLS OF SOLID BRASS. Great stuff to watch.
finch451says...Despite his rapist glare during the game, Ivey's definitely my favourite poker player by far.
RedSkysays...Why would you fold at that point, you've put in over half of your remaining chips and you're at a 1:4 of the chip size of your opponent. Folding at that point lowers you to less than 1:10 which is almost impossible to come back from. Plus it's obvious that Ivey with a chip lead like that, must have the freedom to play more aggressively so it'd look like there'd be every chance that'd he'd be bluffing also, which he was.

Because the only thing he was beating at that point was a 6,4 or worse, and the only draw he had was a back door straight draw. And besides even if Ivey looks Jackson right in the eye and says "I'm bluffing", Jackson still can't call because he only has six high. Ivey is bluffing but he's still a 75% favorite to win. If the stacks are deep enough you can still work your way back from a 10-1 chip deficit...wouldn't be easy (especially against Ivey) but it's not impossible.
And oh yea, Phil Ivey has the best poker face evaarrrrr.

RedSkysays...I guess. I understand the reason he chose to bluff at that point was the dual Jacks, but still definitely on a 6/5 hand, he's on thin ice.
