Yeah, he seemed to be playing with exceptional flourish there.

Merton really is crazy talented. The stuff he puts together off the top of his head is amazing. After seeing him play Fireflies on his first video, I looked at other Youtube videos of people playing it on the piano. They were clearly accomplished pianists, but Merton's improvised version was far better than all of them.

Personally, I think this was fantastic and it just makes me want more.


Having watched them in order of when they were made doesn't make my opinion any more bias than everyone else. I am fully capable of viewing both, no matter the order and scaling them against each other effectively in my mind. I do understand there is an inherit biases that takes place when you see something first, but contrary, there is also a bias that places more emphasis on more recent events.(The Recency Effect) Both of which are inevitable because you cannot view both videos at the same exact time and comprehend them. So, in essence, everything that anyone in the world views is by definition bias.

p.s. This means your opinion of this video being "Fantastic" is bias.
