C-17 Airshow Flypast

Quick flypast by a very impressive plane at the Bray airshow, east coast of Ireland in late July 2008. It was a warm sunny day and this particularly moved me as I was snorkelling out off the mountain at 28 seconds and watching the show. I could feel the vibrations in the water from this really big plane so I got a better sense of the meaning of the word awesome. :)

Some of you sifters may be used to seeing this stuff for real, but its a rare thing in my neck o the world.

I really want to go to that air show! Only live 20min drive away. Traffic was terrible so I gave up lol.

I saw two of these at a low altitude on a summer trip in Alaska. I assume they were taking off from Eielson AFB heading to provide aid for the Russian/Georgian conflict that was occurring at the time.

Unfortunately my pictures I took of them don't really give the viewer the sense of the size of them.
