Maybe she knew something the US govt didn't want you to know. Thus the CIA through Paki intelligence (whom they conveniently paid off, ON the record) conveniently silencing her.

My point is. The US govt needs a 'living' scapegoat/figurehead to justify its domination of other nations in their pursuit of resources. The US population needs a 'bad guy' to focus on, otherwise they will focus on their own government. With Saddam out of the way, and the Bin Laden issue essentially being sidelined/ignored (because he IS dead).. the next best target? Iran of course. Thus the current rhetoric.

If you google Omar Sheikh really quickly, it is found he was accepted to be the murderer of Daniel Pearle when this interview took place. Most people's guess is that Frost didn't follow-up the statement because he presumed she mis-spoke Osama for Daniel Pearl. The strongest suggestion that she mis-spoke being just how matter of fact she is, as though no further explanation were needed. She was aware enough to know that such a revelation was hardly common knowledge and warranted more than a passing "you know, Omar Sheikh, the guy that murdered Bin Laden".

Read "Mr Nice Guy" by howard marks.. mostly unrelated book although informative... he mentions drug trafficking in pakistan.. and bhutto... around 1988... something..really small few sentences in the book, but somethng only a hash smuggler would know... related to being willing to deal with the CIA.. her murder seems organized by her husband and his bodyguard all these years later. Wierd stuff. rung a bell.
