newtboyTrying to say Mitch is some bulwark against MAGA insanity!?…I think he hasn’t been paying attention for the last 15 years.
Mitch was the one who stole Obama’s Supreme Court appointment and ended RvW.
Mitch was a vote for MAGA, a total Trump supporter.
Mitch voted against impeachment for Jan 6 despite stating Trump WAS responsible. Wasn’t he the one who said to just wait 12 days until he’s out of office and we’ll impeach him for certain, then said he’s already out of office so you can’t impeach him now?
He might SOUND a tiny bit more sane (when he’s capable of speaking), but his votes are as extreme as anyone, and his leadership has led the Republican Party into the insane asylum.
I don’t know why he just assumes any replacement would be more extreme with the same or greater ability to achieve their extremist agenda…it’s more likely they’ll elect another Boebert who’s bombastic but unqualified and ineffectual.
dedstickAll true and you are on point with your assesment of McConnell's record and his contribution to our current political situation. I think that Mitch does recognise the danger that Mr T represents to the Republican party in general though and appreciate McConnell's somewhat self centered concerns. I think Beau, as do I, welcomes any impediment to T's re-election via Republican leaders as a positive. "The enemy of my enemy..." etc
newtboyI absolutely agree with supporting any impediments to more MAGA, I just disagree that Mitch is any impediment. He says the right thing now and then, but he NEVER actually opposes MAGA when it’s time to act.
siftbotMoving this video to dedstick's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
