Awesome Introduction for 'Dead Rising' Video Game

This is the Introduction of Dead Rising from Capcom for the Xbox 360, In this video you get to see Frank West (a freelance photographer trying to uncover why the military has quarantined the small town of Willamette, Co) get to the mall where the action of the game takes place.

I only played this game for a little bit the other day but was blown away at how interactive the environment is. EVERYTHING in the mall can be used as a weapon EVERYTHING. And the subplots are just as interesting as the main storyline such as a cult of doomsday prophets setting up human sacrifices in the movie theater and so forth. My favorite thing to do is grab a frying pan in the food court and heat it up on the stove so I can burn the faces off the zombies with it, Ball-Flexin' Horrorshow for sure!

Oh man, the soundtrack is annoying as hell. As is the "shoot camera, get slow count of points" gameplay... I mean, it a cool video and the photo concept is interesting too, but this feels like it's just dragging on and on and on.

Load screens are also a huge turn off - what's up with those? Couoldn't the editor take them out at least?

You guys makes the game sound interesting, though.

OTOH, the army not broadcasting a warning is laaame - I know I shouldn't kvetch about realism in a zombie-type scenario, but come on!

It is a great game, if you have a 360 you should try it.

Krupo, taking photos is a purely optional part of the game. This player was just shutter happy. But it can actually be fun since you're rewarded for getting truly unusual moments on film. . . The zombie erotica award has got to be one of the strangest things I've seen in a game.

The photo taking in this video is just for the sake of introducing the zombies taking over the town. And krupo, the army isn't broadcasting a warning because like the military usually does in such zombiefying scenarios, they're trying to cover it up. Towards the end of the game you actually end up having to fight the National Guard (it's a pain in the ass) because they come after you as you are a first-hand witness/security risk.

Ahem QuadraPixel and EMPIRE, thanks, I was well aware of the source of my problem. Of course, the true source of my problem might well lie in not wanting to buy an HDTV in the first place, but maybe that's just me. On the other hand, the programmers could have thought to program the text to be visible for normal TVs and HDTVs in the first place, but that would have been too har - oops, wait, no, it's not that hard at all. *shrug*

P.S. It's Rembar. Rendar is a character from Star Wars.
