Aussie builders shock public with loud empowering statements

I should have checked out some of those construction sites when I was in OZ!

YouTube: Snickers paired up with Aussie builders to call out empowering statements to unsuspecting members of the public.

So here's the message of this ad, as far as I could tell:

Being hungry makes you a better and more respectful human being. But don't worry! Eat a delicious Snickers bar and you'll be back to being an asshole again!

I gotta stop upvoting before the end second of the video (or before reading the description).

So sick of these stupid fucking ads that have something meaningful and memorable in them, but then at the end tack on some bullshit product that literally has NOTHING to do with the content.
Now if it were ad about equality and at the end put something like "Snickers supports gender equality", that's another story, but this is shite

They mean that these guys are normal because they are not hungry. I.e. they have eaten a Snickers bar and if they hadn't eaten a Snickers bar they would be hungry arseholes.

"Hahaha. It's so funny that these guys are making enlightened, meaningful statements that appeal to a greater society and make other people feel encouraged, because it's all bullshit because they're hungry, and really they're a bunch of sexist misogynist pigs."

That's definitely how it's most easily interpreted and how I interpreted it, but @harlequinn is probably right that Snickers intended the message to be:

"Normally these kind, broad-minded, gentle fellows are considerate and thoughtful like this, but you don't want to know how they are when they haven't had a Snickers."

If that's really their message, they need to make it a fuck of a lot more obvious.

Or maybe they meant for it to be ambiguous so they can appeal to both kinds of people. Quite the politicians you are, Snickers.

If that's what they meant, they've done a piss-poor job of conveying their point. They start out by saying "What happens when builders are not themselves. We thought we'd find out." Then they show the builders yelling empowering things. Then they end by saying "You're not you when you're hungry." The implication seems pretty clear: the builders are behaving uncharacteristically because they're hungry.
