Atheism Defined by Sam Harris

This is taken from Sam Harris's book "Letter to a Christian Nation". This is a very good book and an easy read. I finished it in an afternoon. I let one of my Christian friends borrow it and I haven't seen it since.

I've got a great definition for ya. It's called ignoring clear evidence in nature of a greater being than you. oh noes.

In fact, you may as well as well lose the religion tag, cause an organized group of nothing doesn't make it more than nothing.

Moving this video to GreatBird's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.

No, it is ignoring the ASSUMPTION made that nature must have been designed. And then we take into account the actual evidence, which shows that life has grown and evolved for billions of years.

To me the funny thing about atheists is that they as Terry Prachett says "are as religious as they come because they think about God more often and with greater fervor then any religious person, even if only in denial."

The other funny thing is that the very notion of God is an all knowing being that has created the universe. And here we humans, who create our wars, our racism, our casual indifferance to the plight of mankind, are going to say we know better then the all knowing.

We cannot create life, normally the only test parents can pass in parenting is the physical so to speak. But we know better. Go man, and all his wisdom.
